The Choir of Saint David’s Church

The Choir of Saint David’s Church is a professional ensemble of singers supported to sustain and cultivate the unbroken tradition of choral worship in the Anglican communion.  The choir sings most Sunday mornings at the 10:30 celebration of the Holy Eucharist, and offers Choral Eucharist on major Feast Days throughout the choral season, as well as Choral Evensong on certain occasions throughout the choral season.

The repertoire of the choir spans several centuries of church music, with special emphasis on music created for or adopted by the Anglican Communion.  Their active repertoire ranges from the Medieval era to the present century, from plainchant to polyphony.  Additionally, both plainsong and Anglican Chant are employed in the singing of the Psalter, the very backbone of the Anglican Choral tradition.

The Choir of Saint David’s Church bears witness to our conviction that only the best offerings are appropriate for the presence of Almighty God.  The choir’s repertoire is drawn from only the finest and most enduring works of beauty, and the choir continues to enjoy a reputation as one of the finest such choral ensembles in the surrounding area.  Membership is available exclusively by audition to those qualified musicians interested in the preservation and beauty of this rich heritage.
